Transworld Business checked in with some of the key eyewear brands to hear what trends they predict for 2011. Here's what Oakley and Ashbury had to say.

On Saturday Len’s Cove Marina played host to the second stop of the Roots AM wakeboard series at Nangor Resort in the White Water Region outside of Ottawa, Ontario.  Riders travelled from all over the map to come to this stop, from Niagra Falls, Muskoka, Bobcaygeon, Toronto and of course all the Ottawa locals. Len’s Cove Marina hooked us up with a pimped out pro-tour style Mastercraft X-Star and X-14 as the event towboats, while Slaysh Boardshop in Ottawa gave out some wicked prizes for the riders. Washington Post writer Michael Kaminer came to Ottawa for a business trip and after leaving Slaysh he came to the conculsion that Ottawa is a pretty cool city. Here was his take on time spent in the Glebe.

"Along with lefty bookstore Octopus, homemade-dessert shop Cafe Morala and vegetarian bakery Wild Oat, I found Slaysh, nominally a skateboard shop but actually a trove of smartly curated design. My most prized Ottawa souvenir is Slaysh's own T-shirt, with a heavy-metal-inspired logo, for about $33. You'll also find pieces by Montreal jewelry designers Uranium (brass, feather and peace-sign earrings, about $23) and Colab sunglasses from Australia, so limited-edition that they're numbered, such as the "Ultra Violence" model I tried on..."
